Earn Your ASA Certification on Spring-Fed Lake Fairview
Complete ASA 101 at LFM. Come Back and Sail Our Fleet on Your Own
The ASA 101 course is 15 hours on a Com-Pac 23 keelboat. You'll rig and sail the boat, practice docking and knot tying, and leave with a certification recognized for bareboat chartering worldwide. Most of our students have never sailed before. That's fine. When you finish, you can rent our sailboats independently, on the same lake where you trained.

The 15-Hour ASA 101 Course
Rigging to certification on a maintained Com-Pac 23 keelboat
The ASA 101 course covers the full keelboat foundation: rigging and sail raising, using wind to steer and control the boat, docking procedures and mooring, essential knot tying, safety procedures and rules of the road, and hands-on practice with instructor feedback throughout.\n\nYou learn on a well-maintained Com-Pac 23. It's the same boat you'll be eligible to rent when you finish. A minimum of 2 students is required to schedule a group class.\n\nGroup course: up to 4 students. Private: one-on-one, fastest possible progress. ASA study guide: $39.95, required for the course.\n\nRich Johnson and Dali May completed their first sailing lesson here and both described leaving confident. Conan Disney went further: the course inspired him to continue sailing and eventually own his own boat.\n\nAfter you finish: graduate, pick up your certification, and come back to rent the fleet on your own. No additional requirements. The pipeline is yours.
